Lenny Thor completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Hofstra University & a graduate degree in Elementary Education with Special Education from Monmouth University. Outside of his job, Leonard Thor is a devoted New York sports fan who cheers on the Jets, Yankees, Knicks, also New Jersey Devils. Football season brings out his most enthusiastic fan self, and he is a devoted follower of Jets home games where tailgating with friends plus family is a highlight in its own right separate from the game itself. Lenny Thor also takes pride in cooking, with crowd-pleasing creations like his mac in addition to cheese, pulled pork, also what he calls "Lennyburgers" earning a loyal following among family as well as friends. Leonard Thor is a summer staple at the shore, making his way back to each summer to Point Pleasant Beach on the Jersey Shore.

At the center of his life is family. Lenny is raising a family with two young children with is planted in New Jersey. Lenny brings the same steady presence together with heartfelt dedication to his family life that he shows up with every day for the people counting on him. He also is currently in his role as President of his homeowners association, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to civic life beyond the office that has continued uninterrupted since 2012.
